So I kept track of everything with my first pregnancy. Fundal height, BP, Heart rate, Weight. Not with this one. I saw the doc today – didn’t hear the heart beat, he doesn’t use a doppler. There is an ultrasound machine – but he took 20 seconds to look at the baby, didn’t say a single thing to me the whole time, barely looked at me. I have no idea what he was looking at, though I did see him taking a measurement. He finished up, gave me a towel to wipe my stomach off with and said “K, everything looks good, any questions?” with his back turned.
I’m down 5lbs from the last time I was there. I know that because I saw them weigh me. BP looks fine as per the nurse, and I might have a UTI, labwork pending.
I asked about my cold, if I could take meds – as he was walking away he said “Best to stay away from those.”
I’m trying not to be too upset.
I guess this is big city health care, huh?
